Went in wanted this card but the clerk said she could not give me a decision at the time so basically decline.
Trying to raise my score by getting revolving accounts. SO I tried for a store card now I have another inquiry

I would not say "declined", they want to further review your application. Keep the faith, you might just see a card in the mail within a few weeks.

Like Meya said, it might not be a declined app. Did you used to have a Macys/Riches/Lazarus/BonMarche/Brudines account that went bad?
Maybe somebody can give you a backdoor number for Macy's to see what the status of your app is. Your TU and EQ scores are good, unfotunately they do pull Experian.

Bingo... Here is the backdoor number for Macy's:
Macy's: 800-627-2909 (Credit Dept. - new credit, inquiries on upgrade to Visa, credit reporting issues)

Could Not Get Approved In The Store on 2010-11-02
I applied at Macy's. And could not get a line of credit. I have Visa, and American Express. I feel like a criminal now. I don't understand why the people in front of me were getting cards! Any basic reason why I am not instantly approved at Macy's?
