flirishpm's review: Callout Comment I purchased a new 328i coupe this past weekend and while filling out the paperwork, the finance manager told me that due to my great FICO scores, I was automatically approved for the BMW Platinum Visa card. My scores range from 720 to 753 and no lates or anything derogatory in my files.

I received a $7,800 credit line with 8.9% apr and no annual fee. Should have the card in 7-10 business days.

This is a better card than my Citi AAdvantage American Express card so I'll be throwing that one in the sock drawer for a few months.

The irony in all of this is that Citi turned my 'credit line increase' request over 3 months ago... All I wanted was a lousy $500 increase because I've been at a $5,810 credit line for over 7 years. I've never, ever been late and never over the limit. I typically pay in full each month so this must be retribution for not paying all of those interest charges and fees that Citi is known for.

Remarks Congrats on both the new BMW and card! Hope you enjoy both. Did you test drive any other cars before signing on the dotted line?

Remarks Hjm331... I test drove the new Chevy Camaro (rides like a truck and shockingly cheap interior) Lexus ES300 (too expensive for what you get and the sales person was a snob) and Mercedes Benz SLK 300 (no room for golf clubs with top down).

For what it's worth, I don't think there's any auto manufacturer out there right now that can compete with BMW's warranty and that's really what I looked at long and hard. Bottom line is that if you're going to be paying for a vehicle, get the best warranty you can for the money.

I'll keep everyone posted on the CC usage over the next few months.
