The Hilton Visa is a good deal, but not a great deal. Two points per $ sounds good; and the "teaser" of 15,000 points being "enough for two free nights" is very misleading. I cannot find ANY Hilton family hotels anywhere I want to stay that require less than 20,000 points for ONE night; most require 25,000. This means spending $10,000 to $12,500 to get a room valued at about $100. That's a 1% return or less. Typical for ANY credit card reward offer. Check out the Hilton Amex card; THREE points per dollar and no annual fee.

Whew! That does not sound good. Seems like it will take for ever to receive points from this card. Thanks for giving us heads up for this card Mark, it will help out when another person stops in and have questions regarding this card. I will go out and search some info about the Amex Hilton so that I will have some type of information when the next person asks. Thanks!

Acceptance Criteria on 2008-03-22
I was declined for this card, the customer service agent informed me that I require at least 8 active credit cards in good standing all open for at least a year at the time of application. I got the Hilton Platinum AMEX no problem - I'm pleased, the rewards are better.
