I applied online back in Nov 08. It wasn't an instant decision. I received information on the card first in 7-10 business days. Then I received the card a couple of days later. It is a rewards card good for points toward Universal Studios products. The CL is $3,000 not a bad start. I finally have an AMEX card to use. After applying for BofA Amex and AMEX Costco card. After hearing all the bad things that are happening to American Express company customers. I'm glad they didn't approve me. All Ficos above 700 no baddies!

Congrats!!! As you will notice, your account number starts with a "3". You will have the benefits of 2,200 American Express Offices and better benefits. As a history lesson to our readers, American Express went after Visa and Mastercard for their monopolistic practices (blocked banks from co-issuing AX cards). The court award, Visa and Mastercard issuing banks shall issue American Express with same or better benefits. So when you receive a card like this it is equal to or better than a card issued by American Express. Most of the time the issuing bank has better benefits than American Express. Example 1.25 points for every dollar spent...

Also, to the Amex haters out there: just remember that a lot of banks are in trouble, including GE Money.

I tried to get approved for a regular amex card and they wouldn't approve me do last June I got the Dilliards amex card I statrted with a 1400 limit last June and now I am up to 5000. I am loving it I am in the amex network. Those hosers at amex can go jump in the lake they are losing my business because I go to Costco a lot. Ge money all the way they have been nothing but good to me I will right the best reviews about there company and good for you keep it up I hope everyone converts from an amex card to another card amex go ho to hell!!!
