I wanted a new tv for my room so I decided to apply for the walmart credit card. I got instant approval for $700 which makes me so happy!!. The tv I bought came to $698 so I put $100 on my check card and the rest on the walmart credit card. I get a bonus check next week from my work so I am going to go in the store and pay the card in full. I know I got close to the limit with my card but I think PIF should definitely make it all better. How long should I wait before using the luv button? The card is issued through GEMB which is odd since I filed bruptcy on a ge credit card years ago. I plan on using this card and PIF every month to get a proven track record with them so maybe someday in the future I can get the Discover card from them. My scores are tu 595 eq 608 an exp 632.

Way to go! If you don't mind, could you please add your current scores so that others may benefit from your review. Walmart has been approving pretty good limits lately.

Hi Meya! My scores are tu 595 eq 608 an exp 632. I thought I would have just gotten a lousy $300 like with my other cards but there is hope. Just gotta find the right places that will trust ya.

GEMB has lost their mind. Now that they have driven away their customers they finally start issuing good initial CL's. Great job!!!

About a year ago I tried to get this card, and was denied. I have not tried again. Maybe in the future though. I need to stop all applications for at least a year

I heard wal-mart (GEMB) and Target (Citi) will be more likely to approve you if you don't have more than 2 inquires in 6 months. Just curious if you had applied for anything else during the time frame when you were approved?
