Is there a big difference between Vons and Safeway stores? They are both a part of the same company.

I don't know. We only had Safeway. I do know Safeway has a website that tells about their company and links to all the different stores in the corporation. I hope they come back. Safeway is back in Texas with Ralphs I believe. Texas was a state they bailed out on also in 88 so maybe Ralphs will venture into Arkansas. We can hope. No Safeway name but still the same company. Sorry, I have fond memories of this store.

Aren't Safeway and Ralph's two different companies?

You are correct. It is late. I was confusing Ralphs with Randall's a chain Safeway bought a few years ago.

You just reminded me of something. Do you remember when Albertsons bought Lucky's out? What happens to Albertson now that Lucky's has came back?

Didn't Rite-Aid buy out Albertson's? Lucky used to be a very good supermarket until they were bought out by Albertson's.

I like Smart and Final and Costco most out of all these small-time markets. They always have better deals than markets like Vons, Ralph's, etc.

I like them but, they are too expensive for me. I dont buy in bulks unless it is soap powder (Tide), bleach, tissue, or paper towels.

Vons is too expensive for my family because the products at Vons have no value. You can a small bottle of shampoo which will probably last for a week for $5. At costco or smart & final, it could be the same shampoo but in a bigger bottle for $7 and it could last you a month.
