Thread: Backdoor Numbers

Dreamr, I use backdoor numbers for everything especially if one of my credit card lender CS is outsourced meaning they're from another country such as India.
Backdoor numbers usually connect you to a real American who are polite, understanding, and very helpful. I don't have anything against outsourced CS but all they do is read scripts, they've never been helpful to me.

I agree hjm331. I have nothing against the outsourced reps. But when it comes to the communicating it can really mess you up. They can hardly understand you and you can hardly understand them. besides why call the regular number when there is nothing they can really do to help you anyway. Since coming to this site all I use is the backdoor numbers. It helped my get a cli on my orchard card and it helped my get a cli on my capital one card. I say go straight to the top where the people with the power is. lol

how long should you have card before you call a back door number for an increase? I am going to call capitol one..I have had the card for 9 months now and started at $1000 and in feb they increased me to $1500...do you think they will increase it again.? what do I say when I call and do they pull credit for an increase or just review your payment history.? does utilizing the card too much hurt your chances of them increasing when you call?
thanks!
I know alot of questions!

No they won't, wait for at least 6 to 8 months before asking again. All you have to do is say "Hello, I am calling in for a limit increase" that is all I say and then "Baam" $500. I received a $1500 increase when I did not call.feb they increased me to $1500...do you think they will increase it again.?

I called the capital one cli backdoor number today my account has been opened since 2/2008 started with 1000.00 they just gave me CLI to 1500.00. At first they where saying it was too new of an account then the man said oh ok found another file and did it. Then I had my mom call on her's and they said no. But when I logged online while talking to the rep I see they increased her from 600.00 to 1100.00. WHOOHOOO!!
Here are my current lines not including my joint accts with fiance
BOA 22900
BOA 3000
Wachovia 12000
Chase Freedom 2000
Amazon Chase 2200
Macys Visa 9000
Macys 5200
Macys 2800
Cap one Biz 1000
Cap one 1500
Wamu Biz 1000
Wamu 1500
Citi 1500
Citi upromise 2000
HSBC 500
I opened HSBC thinking I would get a good limit they cahrged me an annual fee of 59.00 and gave me a 300.00 limit at first. When I asked to cancel they said they will raise the limit to 500.00 if I keep it. So I did like a dummy. Then i said why do i have this card its the only one with a fee so I called to cancel it again and they waived half the fee. Now I am thinking if I call again to xcel they will waive the rest.

I just called and spoke to janea she gave me a 200.00 increase without an inquiry. From 500.00 to 700.00 just like that. The account was opened in Febuary and is still my lowest limit. It has a credit blance from when the previous rep gave me half the fee back when I called to cancel. Maybe my score will go up I will keep you guys posted

Tynece, which BofA cards do you have? You have nice limits with them. I currently have a checking, savings, BofA Student Visa, and the BofA Rewards AMEX with them. I like them a lot, they're always on my side when it comes to doing business with them.

Like Hjm331 said, you have nice limits on your cards. I don't even think I would waste my time with the HSBC cards especially Orchard, they are not going to top the nice limits that you currently have. I think I will just work with what I have, which is the good ones. If you don't mind can you please share your scores with us? It will be very helpful for members to sort of get a graps on each other scores (which is voluntered). Thanks for sharing your info!

Anyone have a secret backdoor number to call to get a CLI? These guys are stingy! I pay at least a week early every month and I pay it in full. I have two cards with them, one a $300 limit w/ 10.99% interest and another with a $500 limit w/ 18.99 % interest. Just wondering if anyone had any luck with this bank in the way of CLI's. Also, I don't see the card on this site that I have with the 10.99% rate. It's a World Travelers of America MC. Check it out at www.worldtravelersofamerica.org On that web site they show my exact card but it is showing offered by Bank of America. Mine is definitely with HSBC. It's a great card other then the CL. When you have one your have free access for the "members only" portion of the site offering all kinds of discounts on travel, vacations, hotels, and much more. I got the pre app in the mail a few moths ago.Originally posted by Adam in the credit card reviews on 5/17/2008

At the time when I first got my BOA cards my scores where in the 700's now becasue I am really close to my limit on the one for 22900 my scors are in the 640-670's. Once the 0 runs out I will be paying off at least 8000.00 of the balance from savings and I am sure the score should go up by then hopefully. Experian is 671 Equifax is 647 and Transunion I need to get an update last one from april show 668.

I have the World Points platinum plus visa and the Worlds Points Mastercrd.
And Meya you are right but they said if I close it they will not give me the fee back. But when I threatned to xcel they removed half the fee. If I keep it open then get the rest back then I will cancel HAHAHAAA
It has only been open since febuary so I do not know if I want to wait their 6 months. They did not even give me 0 intro. Just put me right to 14.9

See that is messed up. People like you (the good credit ones) get slapped in the face, but for some odd reason, they throw a little rope out in the water for someone like me. But here is the weird part, when you reach beyond that breaking point, you never know what ship you might have jumped on. THE WRONG DIRECTION!
