Sorry to hear that bro, but I am pretty sure you explained to her about what is happening with credit right about now. I wish her all the luck in her future cli's.

I applied for a Macy's card when I was in Atlanta on spring break and got approved on the spot. I had to call in and get my CL which was $800. I thought this was really low since all of my other cards have at least a 1k limit. How/when should I approach them with a CLI request?

The more purchases you make in the store, the more they will trust you and give you nice increases every 3 months.

I guess that will be my excuse to buy some Waterford.

Just got my statement in the mail for my Merrick Bank card and to my surprise got a CLI for 200 bringing my limit to 1350! I was really surprised with the economy the way it is but it did say " my outstanding payment history" is the reason I got it. So does anyone know if that's how they determine CLI's because my credit score is in the trash right now because my new lower balances still haven't been reported to any of my credit reports. So guess it was a good idea to pay off cards guys thanks for the encouragement.

How long have you had the card? Reason why I am asking is because May will be a year I've had the hooters card and I have yet to see an increase from them.

I opened the account in 2004 and this is one of my oldest tradelines. This is only my third increase so imagine my surprise. I have no idea what criteria they go on to give you the increases either. I'm just glad to see a cli on at least one of my cards.

Well all, Hooter's granted me my lil $200 cli this week bringing my limit to $2600. I wonder whats up with the $200 increases, is this what I am going to receive the entire time I have the card. NOT THAT I AM COMPLAINING! It reminds me that I better go ahead and make some cig purchases on it to keep it active....lol. just waiting for Credit One to step up to the plate next month, they by-passed me this month, I wonder why

It's better than a CLD or no CLI.

I hit the love button my Best Buy card and got an increase from $2,300 to $3,700. That was a nice surprise and I felt lucky so I hit the love button on my Lowe's card and they doubled my limit from $550 to $1,100.

It's been about 5 months since last my increase on my Lowe's card but Best Buy grants me an increase every 6 months like clockwork. I'm hoping they would give me an increase in September that would take my CL to at least $5k. That would a great accomplishment. I've only had the card for a year and a half.

Congrats Meya! How long have you had that Credit One account? Do they have a lot of fees?

It has been about a little over one year. I don't have any fees unless I make a payment online. I pay an annual fee, which is divided into 12 months, of $5 and some change (can't remember exact amount). Other than that, they are stingy with cli's and if I am not mistaken the limit goes up to $1500 max. Its a cool re-builder, but don't expect much from cli's (for those who want to apply).

Way to go bro! That is the bomb right there. Just when we thought hsbc and gemb was turning their backs on us, you brought some hope back to the board
