I guess I should be thankful for the $550 CL on my Lowe's card.

This is the only card that has given me a CLD. I was able to recover some of it with some time but this card is useless to me so ill prolly still close it... I already have another GEMB card, the JCP card w/ a CL of $1500 and its not even a year old. Weird bank.
Good job, glad you got some of that CL back.

Rivas, you give me hope. Last month my Sam's card got CLD from $300 to $100. However, my JCP card was increased $250 to $1250 and my Lowe's which is joint with my husband got increased from $700 to a CL of $1400 in the same month! How wierd.

Did you push the LUV button too many times? I had a PayPal Buyer Credit account (also GE Money Bank) and I was CLD from $500 to $350. I got mad and closed the account and paid it off. With this account, I hit the LUV button at least once per week. The only other account I have done this to is my Sam's account and BOOM, CLD. My Wal-Mart, JCP, and Lowe's I have only pushed about 1 time every so many months and have gotten increases. I think the computer keeps track and if you look desperate by pushing it too many times, and it does an automatic CLD. I wasn't deperate, I just wanted my line increased. I didn't really need the extra credit. Oh well, I will wait until summer and then try again.

Thanks Colo and Meya, I just added the date to my calendar. I just dont know why Macys is acted so weird with me. I have heard nothing but great things from a lot of people. I think when my new mortgage hits the CR, by the summer I will be seeing some nice increases.

Wow AmyB, you seem to have quite a few GEMB accounts. I am trying to stay away from them as much as possible (only have a JCP) cause I have been hearing so many bad stories about them lately......

Believe me, I've trying once a month and still no luck. If I did receive a CLI, I would've posted it in the forum.

Dont fell bad, Lowes denied me twice last month and so did Jcpennys and Chevron. I just said ohhh welll, this is another one of GEMB's clown suits they have been putting on me lately. JCPennys know dog-gone-well it is about time for me to get a cli, I have not had one in a while. I am starting to think like AmyB9B, if I keep asking for one, I might get slapped in the face will CLD's.

I feel the same way also. I think it's better if we don't ask for one and wait for them to give us one. Yeah, right!

As a matter fact, I didnt hit it that often and I DO BELIEVE THATS WHAT MIGHT OF CAUSED IT!

    Dates
    07/18/08 Req Increase from $200 to $275.00
    10/28/08 Req Declined
    11/08/08 Auto CLD from $275 to $190.00
    11/29/08 Req Declined
    01/31/09 Req Declined
    03/02/09 Req Increase from $190 to $265.00
    07/02/09

I think you should watch those love buttons unless u know its times for one. They might be doing soft pulls, you never know. Im sure that they did a soft pull, didnt like whatever they saw (assuming high utilz) and declined me and did a CLD.

I believe that's what happened to me on my chevron account i closed. when i hit the luv button and they denied me, I decided to check my account a day or two later and that's when i discovered they lowered my limit.when i pulled my credit report i did noticed that they where soft pulling me every other day for a couple of months on equifax even though my report was clean. I guess since i paid in full every month, they were not making money off of me so they made the move.

Got another $500 on my CapOne card. They said due to credit steps...so far: July CL $500, Sept $1000 CL, March $1500.
    I'll take it!

That's awesome. Congrats... How long have you had the Card? Did they start you off with the $500 CL?
