I don't know why this slipped my mind, but I went to Macy's yesterday to purchase a steamer and some warm hoodies for my boys. I asked the csr to see if I can get an increase before my purchase and I got another whooping $500 asap. Waaahooooo! Limit is now at $2,300 from $1800. I was denied in Dec, because I already got a cli, but the rep told me to just wait until Feb before asking for another one, he was right (even though it has been a normal routine)...lol

And congrats to you...... I am going to wait until my billing cycle closes out with Macy's this month and hit them up for a decent increase.... They have been teasing me with these measly 100 CLI over the last couple of months... lol

Thanks! I believe they are going to come full throttle on you and Pam, watch! For some odd reason, I still believe that they judge by how often you shop with them and how likely you are going to utilize the limit they give you. I have heard of people who receive cli's that stay far away, but think about it, even their cards are leveled according to how you shop. The more you spend, the card changes....hummmm. So, therefore, seems like you have to shop pretty often in order to get decent cli's. This is not a fact, just ole Meya's assumption

Meya, did the rep call the credit department to issue the CLI on your account?

Look at you go. I just got my replacement Gold Star Rewards this weekend. I might have to call them up in March for an increase-just to keep up with all y'all.

I'd guess you are right too. What level of Rewards are you at Meya?

Yes, she called in for me, and as usual, they asked to put me on the phone.

The same (if they don't send out a card). I am about to call them right now because I have spent well over the first level, so I should be on my second card right?

You would want to, while the other crazy creditors are trippin, get your while you can. Macy's have not tripped with me yet. It has been every 4 months for a cli every since I had them. Get them now before they start acting like the others.....lol.

I'm still trying to think of a good reason to shoot at them when they ask me what I need all this available credit for.

That's what I was told when I asked for an increase for HC Credit. They denied me because I had too much credit available.

Tell them your looking to buy a new mattress since the one you have is old and you need the CL available to not go over your limit. Hey, maybe its worth a try...

Won't they offer to open a special purchase account for that?
