Plus the account that I joined to this one shows a 1600 limit with a 0 balance on all 3 credit reports.
Is there a number one can call to combine two Cap One cards? My wife has two and has tried to combine them in the past (a year ago?) and she was told she could not combine the two. Thanks.

I got the 99/500 deal last September and have paid on time every month. How long did it take for BOA to "unsecure" you? Thanks.

Ok, I know that the Tribute card is a subprime (I will be getting rid of it soon as I get my Bofa card going). Today received a replacement card (using the same number as the original) stating that my CL is now $950.00 (it was originally $300.00)

I've had the card for about a year with good payments. Don't know what to make of this occurrence.

BofA is a good card. Make sure you keep it in good standing it will look really good on your report.

Capital One credit steps must have kicked in today. I called the backdoor number in the past and was increased from 1000 to 1500.00 today when I logged in my limit said 2000.00

Got Cap One 2% cash rewards Visa back in April 08. I received the credit steps letter a few weeks later stating will increase limit from 1K to 1500 in 3 months, etc. I figured well, since i have auto, savings, investments with them i would call the "infamous backdoor number" and give it a whirl hoping that my report would not be ravaged. I did, and since they saw i have other relationship accounts with them, upped me on the spot to 2400. So now, I 'll wait and see in July if it goes to 2900. We will see. Also, if anyone has this card, make sure that your rewards match your charges on the card. They have already cheated me once, now i'm on to them.....But, i'm happy with that increase. Its one of my larger limits now, but i really like the rewards part of the card.

Congrats! Are they giving you 2 percent cashback on all purchases or just categorized purchases such as gas, grocery, etc.

I haven't used mine for a purchase at all. I am using the 0% on balance transfers. But that is a good idea to have them switch me to rewards. I chose not to have an annual fee and I have no rewards attatched. Congrads on your increase

My husband did not want to apply for anymore credit cards. He told me he had enough credit. But his utilization was over 35% and he wanted to get it under without overextending ourselves. He called NFCU and asked for a CLI up to $10,000.00 from his previous CL of $4,000. They did a hard pull and told him over the phone that it would take 30 days for an answer. We thought it was a no go until his statement came in and...voila! CL = $10,000.00!! We watched his FAKO skyrocket over 700, so we're curious to know his FICO.

Anyway, the bug bit him and he called both his DISCOVER cards and asked for a CLI from $3,000 to $8,000 on both...hard pull, of course. They said it would take 24 hours to decide. So, I'll keep you all posted. Should be interesting.

I wonder if I became an authorized user on his account that I could piggyback...hehe. Equifax is by far my lowest score and they have not utilized FICO '08!
