Can't blame you. Not too many merchants accept Discover.

Everywhere I shop takes Discover but the real asset for me is Discover shop because between the 5% to 20% I get from places I go to, I make a killing every month on my cashback rewards.Plus I love it when they send you an email calculating the cashback you have earned on your purchases.

Ok. You have been a "non-user". Shame, now you got on their bad side. Frankly, I have too many credit cards to really actively use them all. Yet, I don't want to close them due to "average account age" and "oldest account".

lmao That's why I have been cleaning out my credit closet and only deal with the credit powerhouses.

That's right, only do business with the companies that work with you.

For the most part, everywhere I shop accepts Discover. I just get better cash back from my Citibank Dividend and Chase Freedom. I still use my Discover for a few small things every month, so it is active, but I am not spending hundreds or thousands a month on it like I used to (prior to 2005).

They got on my bad side when they kept changing the rules for Cashback Bonus. Citibank and Chase have far better cash back cards, so I use them more. My Discover is still active with usually under $100 per month spend, a little higher when they have the 5% back on gas and groceries as it usually does not coincide with the Citibank gas or grocery promos.

I still have a soft spot for Discover and I love my 1999 Cardmember Since date.

After going through rough times I was left with one untouched card, my Dillards store credit card. Surprisingly GE MoneyBank didnt close this account as they did with all the others that I had with them. Started with $150 CL and when my financial situation improved I started using it and paying on time. Now my CL is $1,100!!!!!
