It was an automatic CLI. I don't know if they take into consideration income.

Good to know. I still don't know all the details to CARD ACT but I thought going forward income had to be considered but maybe that is just to open the account. This is great news then, I thought the days of auto CLI's were over but apparently they aren't!

I think with the days of credit card issuer handing out credit cards and increases like candy are over. I think that we are going to see a lot of issuers handing out fewer cards, smaller limits, higher APR's, and seeing smaller credit line increased and those will be far and few.

You know I've wondered about CLI and CL as well. It seems as though people are still getting CLI's. The banks have changed some. It seems people in the credit rebuilding process are the ones most affected by the new laws. The prime banks seem to be steady. With their credit limit increases and new credit cards with good starting limits. It seems as though everyone on FG has reported CLI's and new accounts.

Congrats! GEMB is showing some love it seems. Also, per previous notes: good to see that automatic increases are still being done.

Are the automatic CLIs only applied on old cardholders?

Isn't Chase a bank that pulls a hard inquire on your credit report to get a CLI? I think that they still do that.
