    Update:

On Bank of America Platinum Plus Visa CLI request,

    previous CL = $2,000.

    present CL = $8,000.

    yay!

I did not call them. I just checked my account online and there it is.

I cannot remember how much increase I asked for, but this is a very generous CLI. =)

@classy75 - you'll get there someday. the most important things i've learned from this forum is patience and discipline.
slowly but surely. congratulations on your increase!

You have enough CL to convert to a Visa Signature Card (doubt if they would do it but who knows) and you may find they will consider an "upgrade" product change. I can say they have done two product changes for me and now I have a Bank Americard Cash Rewards Card. A really good card as they redeem at the 1 for 1 value. Few redeem for full value.

I've asked them for product changes in the past. Went from original platinum plus visa to a world points. Then a year later they automatically upgraded me to visa signature with world points. Then after another year they offered to change it to they're Cash rewards American Express card. Which I really like even better. All my world points were transfer to cash. At which time I asked them to change American Diabetes AMEX card into a visa card. which they did. Then a few months later I asked them to change that to the Bank Americard cash rewards card. So I wouldn't be suprised if they changed it for you. It can't hurt to call! After all they gave you a $6,000 CLI so they definitely like having you as a customer!

Ok I must admit that the advice here does help. I still have a lot of questions, but ..... I have had an account with Legacy Visa since 2009 and was only able to get 100.00 increases from time to time. I requested an increase in March and it was denied. However, today, I got a letter in the mail from them asking me to call them for CLI consideration. They actually gave me a $250.00 increase. Doesn't sound like much, but you would have to know how hard I had to work for that increase. I have never been late, never missed a payment, and have always paid at least three times the minimum payment. Just last week First Savings sent me a letter and I got 100.00 increase. Slowly, but surely! Thanks FG! You guys rock!!!!!

I was approved for a Chase Sapphire card 7 months ago $5000 limit at 15.5%. Called today for a CLI and went for broke asking for $25,000. I was denied that but was given $15,000 and an APR drop to 13%! Pulled TransUnion 705 Score. 677 when I was initially approved.

Shell (by Citi) increased my CL from $500 to $700, and Old Navy upgraded to Old Navy Visa with CL increased from $800 to $2000. I opened Wal-Mart wit hCL at $600 5 months ago. Any ideas when Wal-mart auto increase CL, or do you have to call them? How about BoA Platinum Plus? I got the Bank of America platinum in March with $500 CL. It's nice to read about all the CLI in here too. Thanks for those updates.

How long have you had the walmart card? I'm still waiting for some sort of auto CLI from my wal-mart (had it for 5 months now). Nice job and thanks for the update.
