Report Your "Credit limit Increases" Here!
I think this forum would benefit those who asks other members "When do you think I will get a limit increase." This might end up being a long thread, so if you can try to add every card that comes to mind. If the dates are slightly off, don't worry, some of us probably had cards for over 5+ years and can't remember the actual dates of increases. I am going to add mines when I get them all together, until then, let's flow.

WHAT I AM REPORTING NEW!
I applied for Macy's on Aug 26, 2007. I called in for a limit increase Nov 26, 07 and was told that I can only receive $100 cli. I believe that all those new small limit cards are messing with my report.

Waaaahoooooooo! JCPenny's just gave me a $1000 CLI today. I can't believe it! Go Meya, it's your B-Day! Go Meya, it's your B-Day! You guys better get up on our cli's, it's Xmas, which is the best time to do so. Give yourself a treat to help boost our CR.
Woe Woe, got another one.......ICON just gave me an additional limit increase for $600 giving me a whopping $3500! Whooohooo! I am telling you all to get on your p's and q's with these increases. This just lowered my utilization to under 20%. This is a cool TRADELINE members. You should apply for this even if it is just for some rollerskates. Get on those wheels and just skate your way to a new financial success, ride the blades to the wheels fall off, or just make it a XMAS Gift!
*Walmart just gave me a measly $75.00 increase. It's Xmas, what's really going on? I will make the changes above.

I called the backdoor number to Cap1 today and received a cli of 300 dollars that will be posted to my account in 3 days. This is my first cli ever. I was given the cli even though I went overlimit on my other newer Cap1 Visa by 8 dollars (the balance is now at zero because I paid it off just as soon as I saw it). This is great for my utilization. It will probably take me a couple of extra months to get a cli on my other Cap1 card. That backdoor number is where it is at. That's what's up.

I also got another credit limit increase from HSBC yesterday on my Cash or Fly Mastercard. A 600 dollar CLI!!! Now, my limit is 1,350 dollars. Two cli's on two different cards in one day. Not bad.

Congrats, Meya. Guess what, I received my third CLI in 2 days today!!! First Premier increased my limit from 250 dollars to 400 dollars with just the press of the love button. I am on a roll and I want to keep it that way.

We are on the roll. I am so happy to hear this from you. All we got to do is keep this up so that we can get our limits at decent amounts. It's all about the love button "Baaabaay"!

Dillard's gave me $100 today bringing the total limit to $250. Wooooow, i feel like flying.
For all the Dillard cardholders, I submitted the request online, and I had the card for about a good 3-4 months now.

Well, I came back from my trip to visit family in Atlanta for the holidays, I log onto my Cap1 account and guess what I see??? Yeah, a CLI!!!! I now have 1100 dollar CL on one of my Visa cards. An increase of 500 dollars!!! That is great for my utilization.
The other card is still stuck at 300 dollars and I used it primarily during my trip in order to show usage and to get a little love from them on this card in the near future. Hopefully they will show me some love soon even though I went overlimit by 8 dollars when I got the card a couple of months ago.

So, I decided to send Target a pitful crying e-letter about a limit increase, and this is how it went
How come everyone else is getting credit limits increases except for me? I am jealous, I pay my bills to you on time and I believe that I am ready for a limit increase. This is the lowest limit that I have ever had. This is why I can not hardly use the card, I just use cash because my limit is too low. Can someone look into this for me and grant me some type of limit increase? I will gladly appreciate it. Thanks and Happy New Years!
Please accept my apology, we're not able to manually process requests for credit limit increases on Target Credit Card accounts.
Your account will be reviewed every month for a possible increase. If your credit limit is adjusted, you will see a change on your monthly billing statement and the information will be updated on our automated phone system.
If you have more questions, please call us at (888) 755-5856 and we can help you. When asked for your Target REDcard account number, press #, #, # to speak to a representative. We're here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thanks and Happy New Year to you too!
Cracked my face huh? Well let me just pick my face up from the floor. Thought for today, "Target increase limits when they get good and ready."

I don't think you should expect too many increases from Target. A place like Macy's would give you an increase every 3 months if you take care of your account because they give you the limit according to their prices. If they give you a $200 dollar limit, it's not going to help you buy a lot of stuff from there. But since Target has cheaper prices, then $200 will get you a lot more stuff then you would at Macy's for $200.
