CN, please, what principle. All financial institutes in distress, all of them feverishly look for some ways to get out of troubles. Indulge them, anyway it costs you nothing and some account manager will report this RJ and keep his/hers job.

The interest rate was at 13.99% on my Citi Secured Mastercard when I last checked it which was Saturday. This is a PIF card for me so the APR doesn't really matter.

Principle that I have a higher score then 96% of other Americans, so I feel that I have earned the right for better APR's. And they gave that to me.

That's good. From what I was told the rate increase was only for people who did not have a rate increase for the last 2-3 years.

Actually, mines dropped by 1% from 14.99% to 13.99% due to the drop of the prime rate.

They are out jacking allot of individuals with Apr's, but they need to keep their good customers happy by not affecting them. There are plenty of people out there who are paying late, slow, and min balances, it would be different in that category. But the ones who kept you in business, pif's, long term trustworthy history, heavy card users,....etc, they should cut them some slack.

True, but if too many complain, they will change trust me. They don't want to loose who or what made them.

That's also true. Tough times call for extra measures though.

Right, and they lowered the rates so I am okay with it.
