Denied For this Card Online. Had this card many Years ago and it helped build credit. Good Selection of products, But You Pay a Higher price for the Convience. I would recommend the Card for Credit building. But Not So much For Rebuilding. They have become a lot more picky over the years.

I tried for this account twice in the last 2 years and was denied both times. Have you tried HSBC or hooters? I just got my hooters card today. Was suprised to be approved for it.

No, I haven't applied for HSBC or Hooters, But I just got approved for a Citibank Mastercard. Secured of course, But that is a foot in the door... They are a good company to establish with... They are the ticket to many other prime credit lenders.

I am sorry to here about your circumstance. I was just recently approved for fingerhut for about 350 limit. but I ran a simulation of credit score on www.Creditkarma.com and if I followed it correctly taking on this credit card would bring my score down by two points. my score is 590. so my thoughts is go to this site I provided you and check it out and do some digging. its free ofcourse. Don't forget you are entitled to review your credit report to see why you were denied

Approved the second time around, my scores are 590 595 and 611. Does anyone know if they report to the big 3?

Congrats on approval!! Fingerhut only reports to Equifax, no others as of now (per customer service rep for Fingerhut I spoke with a few months back... So this may have changed.)
