I had applied for this card three times in the last year and were denied each time. I applied 4 or 5 days ago, and was certain that I was denied again. But today as soon as I walked in the door from work, I got a call from merrick bank in salt lake city. Verified my adress and asked me what other accounts I had open to verify, and he said I got it approved and your card will be being mailed in a couple days. No idea what my limit or interest rate is till I get the card, I will ad a comment when I kno. I am so happy to be approved. My transunion score is around 600, and that's what they pulled. A few baddies, lots of inquiries and several other open accounts.

It does feel very good to be approved for this card. Does anyone know if you can do a balance transfer with this card? I want to close my first premier card now.

Congrats!!! On your new card. To answer your question, I don't believe there is a balance transfer offer for this card. But on the other hand I'd contact the bank.

Congrats! Enjoy the card, but watch those inquiries. Soon, you'll start getting declines if you don't credit garden. Your scores will start to take a hit if you continue applying for cards.

Got my card today. $300 limit 21% interest and a $36 annual fee charged upfront. Not as good as I was hoping for, but not bad either. At least this was the annual fee is charged at once instead of monthly like HSBC is doing to me. I hate that monthly fee!!

I applied several times that resulted in an error page each time. I checked my credit report and Hooters Mastercard actually inquired. No idea whats going on with that.
